Position SummaryA postdoctoral fellowship is available in the group of Prof. William P.Bricker in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at theUniversity of New Mexico. The research project will involve the accuratedetermination of a large-scale molecular electronic structure using machinelearning and artificial intelligence methods. This research project will beperformed in collaboration with Dr. Joshua Rackers at Sandia NationalLaboratories (SNL), and the post-doctoral researcher will have the opportunityto work on-site at SNL during the Summer months. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE)The applicant should have experience with modern quantum chemistrymethods and should additionally have programming experience. It is also desiredthat the applicant have some experience with machine learning and artificialintelligence methods as well, but this is not a requirement. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • PHD in Chemical & Biological Engineering or related field
  • Must be a US Citizen per requirements of the grant

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with modern quantum chemistry methods
  • Programing experience
  • Any experience with machine learning
  • Any experience with artificial intelligence methods
  • A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities
