Job Description

The Senior Account Manager is responsible for building and maintaining trusted relationships for 20-30 OB/GYN care centers throughout the state of Florida.    

The Senior Account Manager will serve as a liaison between Unified departments and care center leadership to ensure all assigned care centers issues are resolved timely and successfully.  As well as ensure compliance with regulations, policies and procedures as required by the company and/or the Medical Affiliate’s Clinical Governance Board and different federal, state, and county regulatory entities.

In addition, they will collaborate with care center leadership and Practice Performance Managers to implement best practice workflows and tools to enhance care center day to day operations.  Diligently track and manage escalated care center issues and ongoing care center projects through to successful completion/resolution.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Serves as primary contact for directly assigned care centers, as well as, collaborative support for team’s care centers
  • Perform onsite practice assessments of care centers annually or as needed
  • Mentor and coaches care center leaders to elevate operational performance and compliance with Medical Affiliate and/or company initiatives
  • Provide continuous training to care centers to enhance their efficiency with athenaCollector & athenaCommunicator
  • Oversee the onboarding & offboarding of Office Managers, Providers and Locations for existing care centers
  • Communicate and collaborate cross functionally to problem solve and provide timely resolution on escalated care center concerns
  • Manages care center related projects as needed


Additional Job Functions:

  • Participates in Unified staff & team meetings
  • Participates in cross-functional team projects and staff meetings as requested
  • Other duties as assigned


Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Medical Office Management experience preferred
  • Revenue Cycle Management experience desired
  • Two years’ experience in a physician office or ambulatory healthcare setting, preferred
  • Previous account management and/or customer service experience
  • High level of computer literacy and user experience; Intermediate level experience in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Two years hands on experience with a Practice Management (PMIS) and/or EMR system (Athena preferred)
  • Familiarity with clinical & operational workflows and workflow analysis
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate logically and clearly both orally and in writing
  • Ability to actively manage 20-30 client sites
  • Excellent listening and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Travel as necessary within assigned region, approx. 50%
  • Ability to think outside the box to solve problems and to escalate when appropriate
