Senior Principal Network Engineer -- Austin, Texas / Remote / Telecommute

Monitor/ maintain performance & capacity for our global data centers and corporate office networks to ensure maximum efficiency and operational uptime.
Coaches, mentors, and provides guidance to team members to help improve technical skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks and work calmly under pressure.
Work with vendors and cross-functional teams for on-going design efforts and systems support.
Periodically develops and delivers training related material.
Participates in an on-call/standby rotation and is expected to respond after hours for service restoration, troubleshooting and/or repair of all necessary equipment during rotation.
Handles scheduled maintenance on networking equipment, such as software and equipment upgrades and assist with maintenance related tasks.
4 to 6 years' experience in network design, implementation, and support of complex LAN/WAN environments carrying VoIP and data.
Advanced troubleshooting and support experience of network solutions that include: Cisco Nexus and Catalyst switches, Cisco ASA Appliances, Multi-Tenant Environments, multiple network carriers, and Voice Over IP.
Experience with QOS and network virtualization
College Degree preferred but not required
CCIE Routing & Switching or CCIE Service Provider preferred but not required
Experience with Cisco Nexus switches 7000/5000 series
Experience with Cisco ASA 5500 series
Site to Site based VPN Tunnels
Remote Access client based VPN Tunnels
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve network related issues with little to no guidance.
Ability to demonstrate understanding of the following technologies:
STP (spanning tree)
Routing Protocols (EIGRP,BGP,OSPF)
Routing between VRFs (Virtual Routing and Forwarding)
Contexts (ASA & Nexus)
Understanding of the following technologies is a plus but not required:
Virtualization environments and tools such as VMWare, vCenter, vCenter Orchestrator
