The incumbent in this position performs a variety of difficult and complex clerical and administrative support work for the Seminole Tribe of Florida's Tribal Inspection Office. Work involves assignments that require some independence in making decisions and obtaining solutions while adhering to and/or operating within established policies, rules and guidelines. The incumbent assists customers to obtain building permits and assists in the clerical processing of all Building, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Roofing Permits, including scheduling all associated inspections. The individual performs additional clerical duties including customer service and front desk reception coverage. High School diploma or equivalent GED is required. A minimum of three (3) years related experience issuing permits is required. An equivalent combination of education/training and experience may be considered. Permit Technician certification is preferred. Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License is required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
