Job Description

The incumbent in this position is responsible for directing the overall operations and delivery services of community-based mental and behavioral health clinical programs designed to support the needs of Seminole Tribal Members. The individual oversees and directs the clinical services, treatment and recovery programs ensuring quality of services, oversees the provision of immediate crisis intervention, stabilization services for Tribal families with a child or children at imminent risk of danger; and the administration of transitional housing and therapeutic services to the Seminole Tribe of Florida's youth and families. The Director provides technical advice and guidance to staff in regards to the implementation of the treatment and prevention programs as well as welfare services. The incumbent supervises staff members in all aspects of service delivery ensuring compliance with all federal, state, local and STOF policies and procedures. Doctoral Degree in Psychology (PsyD), Psychiatry, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Family Therapy, Substance Abuse or related field is required. A minimum of seven (7) years of experience working in the implementation and coordination of treatment plans or working with mental health, substance abuse, and foster care issues in a supervisory capacity; and five (5) years of experience in professional counseling is required. Florida State License as Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), license as Mental Health Counselor (MHC) or license as Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) is required. Ability to exemplify the highest level of professional standards/ethics and demonstrate appropriate and culturally sensitive service delivery and community based treatment. Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License and able to travel to all Seminole Reservations and other facilities. Ability to speak the Creek and/or Miccosukee language is preferred. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
