PPEP, and Pima County One-Stop have partnered with Bombardier Commercial, Ascent Aviation and AMARG a division of Davis Monthan (known locally as the Boneyard) to put together a comprehensive program to provide individualswith skills sets in Aircraft Structural repair.

Industry need is growing and trained workers are wanted to enter into this career pathway.

PPEP Inc. is currently providing Vocational Training in Aircraft Structural Repair.  Our training center is located at 8677 E. Golf Links Road, Tucson, Az.  

The next will begin in February 2020.  The program is 20 weeks depending on class progression.  Class times are 5:00pm to 9:00pm Monday – Thursday. Completers will be ready for entry-level positions at companies like Bombardier, MHI Inc., AMARG, and Ascent Aviation. Each Student will receive certification as a Aircraft Structural Mechanic, along with their Nationally Recognized NCCER Construction Certification

Course Objective: To prepare individuals for core aircraft sheet metal construction and industrial occupation essentials in aircraft and construction sheet metal trades, combined with hands-on training, delivered in partnership with employers in aviation, construction/industrial, and sheet metal occupations.

Description: NCCER/Aircraft Structures program, is a program that builds a foundation for employment skills and entry level competencies in aircraft structures/sheet metal manufacturing, and moves toward teaching advanced competencies to individuals entering multiple career pathways. The aircraft structures/sheet metal program is a bridge pre-apprenticeship program that will permit individuals the possibility to enter a full apprenticeship program with employers, such as Bombardier and move toward obtaining their A & P license.

Total Cost of Program (includes all costs for testing, licensure/certification):

$3,000 per individual

The program is approved on the Pima ARIZONA@WORK training list.
