Northern Colorado Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a Medical Staff Coordinator / Administrative Assistant to join our team!

The Medical Staff Coordinator is responsible for varied secretarial/administrative duties primarily for executive management. May compose and type correspondence, relay confidential information, gather and interpret information to develop reports and maintain departmental files, assist in monitoring departmental budgets, and screen visitors and telephone calls.  Integrates the hospital’s mission and “Guiding Principles” into daily practice.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Attends and records minutes for the quarterly Medical Executive Committee and Governing Body meetings and weekly Leadership meetings; transcribes and distributes as required.

  • Maintains appropriate governing body and executive records and adheres to departmental filing systems to ensure the expeditious retrieval of information to support State, Medical, and accrediting body requirements and standards.

  • Responsible for the credentialing, reappointment, and privileging process for medical providers. Originates or collects and maintains appropriate records, responsible for verification of licenses/certifications to remain in compliance

  • Maintains records of facility contracts and licenses for Chief Executive Officer’s review, and maintains a file for all necessary renewals.

  • Two years’ experience as an administrative assistant at executive level or executive secretarial level in a hospital administrative environment preferred.

  • OR any equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Demonstrates general computer skills including: data entry, word processing, email, and record management.

  • Effective organizational and time management skills.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to maintain quality and safety standards.

  • Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality.

  • Ability to work closely and professionally with others.
