Scripps Research is currently seeking a part-time Security Officer for its Florida facility. The scheduled shifts for this position will be Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. This position is benefits eligible.
The selected candidate will patrol assigned premises and is responsible for safeguarding Scripps Research employees, equipment, and facilities against fire, theft, vandalism, illegal entry, and other potential hazards.
The selected candidate will investigate suspicious activities; identify and report local alarms to the appropriate authorities, provide escorts and vehicle jump starts as requested.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for registering visitors, monitoring alarm and surveillance systems, enforce parking regulations as well as completing a daily log.
The successful candidate will also be required to complete written reports based on injuries, equipment failures, or other issues as needed, and perform other duties as assigned.
