DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS:
This position provides direction and oversight of the Internal Audit Offices. Audits are conducted to give
reasonable assurance to the Community Council and Administration of compliance with all policies, procedures,
regulations, and laws. This office examines, evaluates and conducts internal audits, compliance audits,
operational audits, financial audits, performance audits, special audits and special investigative type audits. Work
is performed under the general administrative direction of the Internal Audit Director and Community Treasurer
or designee.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Provides direct supervision and oversight of Senior Internal Auditors and Internal Auditors and/or other
personnel assigned and the conduct of all assigned audits.Develops and reviews audit programs to include a review of internal controls, audit scope of work for all
internal audits, compliance audits, special audits, systems audits, performance audits, financial reviews and
operational audits, as required or requested.Develops and maintains an annual audit plan approved by the Community Council.Reviews and approves work papers and reports completed by audit staff; reviews the reliability and integrity
of the financial records of the Community and its enterprises.Writes audit reports at the conclusion of audits and conducts timely follow-up audits to provide assurance that
findings are corrected.Prepares quarterly reports on all audits performed by the Department to the Governor, the Government and
Management Standing Committee and to the Community Council.Prepare department budget and assures all expenditures are allowable, allocable and reasonable as stated in
federal guidelines and that expenditures comply with Community policy.Maintain superior customer service to all internal and external customers.Perform other related duties as assigned.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:Thorough knowledge of accounting, auditing, and fiscal operations in a government and casino setting.

000000VVVVVVREQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or a
closely related field and a minimum of six (6) years of progressive experience in the combined area of professional
gaming and govemmental/ enterprise internal auditing; and which included two (2) years supervising professional
audit staff and review of internal audit reports.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Licensed as a Certified Fraud Examiner or must obtain certification within twelve (12) months from date of hire.
If not currently licensed as a Certified Fraud Examiner must be currently licensed as a Certified Public Accountant
or Certified Internal Auditor.All Gaming facility employees must be certified and licensed as a condition of employment.
Required to pass a background check.Required to obtain a Tribal Driving permit. Valid state driver’s license with a current proof of driving record for
the past 39 months will be required to qualify for a tribal driving permit. Proof of driving record must be
submitted with application and must not be more than 60 days old from the date of submission of the
